Mauerkrankheit/Wallsickness in SL received a merit award of Merit Award of L$50,000 (US$200.) from USC Annenberg School for Communications Network Culture Project, an initiative funded by the MacArthur Foundation. WallJumpers evolved from this earlier work.

Salient Infinity built the original installation of the five border fences for the Network Culture Project. Reed Steamroller and Gianna Borgnine of Sand Castle Studios created the stick figure avatar and provided avatar animation and background assistance. Bernhard Drax, as always, immeasurable help in machimina cinematography and sound.
